Focused investments by PURUS in innovation and product development have paid off. The unique solution of the NOOD water trap has been approved as a norm by all EU countries.

NOOD is one of many designs patented by PURUS. NOOD has also revolutionised earlier principles for water traps in floor drainage systems.

A floor drain solution using NOOD in combination with drains in the Purus system is one of the first plumbing products and the third product in all categories to achieve the status provided by a CE approval.

The CE approval was handed over in April 2000 to the owner of PURUS, Lars Spånberg, by Claes Skjernov, director of the Danish Europæisk Teknisk Godkendelse, ETA.

Once a CE approval has been given, it is valid in all EU countries within the framework stated in national building regulations.
